Maritime Ventures is a venture builder conceived and financed by CDP Venture Capital and is supported by multiple leading industrial, financial and innovation players from Italy and Germany. We aim to launch 10+ new ventures in the maritime sector over the next three years.

To achieve this mission, we are looking for an ambitious and motivated Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) in the role of CEO, CTO or CPO (m/f/d) to take the lead in shaping a new venture in the maritime sector. The goal is to transform innovative business ideas into high-growth companies that drive the digital and sustainable transition of Italy’s maritime small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

The ventures are designed to tackle key challenges in the maritime industry by developing scalable B2B and B2B2C Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for port logistics, shipbuilding, cruising, passenger ferries and leisure boating. Examples include platforms that enable streamlined workforce sourcing and training, automate maritime compliance with regulations and ESG standards, simplify freight forwarding operations through centralized communication, and connect SMEs to funding sources through automated documentation and supply chain finance options. Our focus lies in creating impactful, scalable solutions that address real industry pain points, leveraging cutting-edge technology and deep industry insights.

As an EiR, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling a groundbreaking venture. From assembling the founding team to validating the business model and securing early customers, you will drive the venture’s success.

This role follows a two-phase approach:

Phase 1 – Consultant for Incubation: You will work as a paid freelance entrepreneur, supporting and shaping incubated ideas during the validation phase – start date as soon as possible.
Phase 2 – Venture Leadership: Upon securing funding, you will take on an executive role (e.g., CEO, CTO, CPO) within the new venture.

You will work closely with a diverse team of experts in business, design, engineering, and investment, gaining unparalleled access to the support and resources needed to lead and grow the venture independently. You will be employed directly by the new venture, taking on a key leadership role as the company’s executive.

Requirements

Fluency in Italian and English
Strong entrepreneurial drive and a hands-on mindset
Proven fundraising capabilities
Ability to attract top-tier talent and build high-performing teams
Based in Italy or willingness to relocate to Italy
Experience in scaling early-stage ventures
Expertise or a network in the maritime sector is a plus

Unser Ziel ist es, in den nächsten drei Jahren mehr als 10 neue Unternehmen im maritimen Sektor zu gründen.

Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, suchen wir einen ehrgeizigen und motivierten Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) in der Rolle eines CEO, CTO oder CPO (m/w/d), der führend die Gestaltung eines neuen Unternehmens im maritimen Sektor übernimmt. Ziel ist es, innovative Geschäftsideen in wachstumsstarke Unternehmen umzuwandeln, die den digitalen und nachhaltigen Wandel der kleinen und mittleren maritimen Unternehmen (KMU) Italiens vorantreiben.

Die Unternehmen sollen wichtige Herausforderungen in der maritimen Industrie angehen, indem sie skalierbare B2B- und B2B2C-Software-as-a-Service-Lösungen (SaaS) für Hafenlogistik, Schiffbau, Kreuzfahrt, Passagierfähren und Freizeitschifffahrt entwickeln. Zu den Beispielen gehören Plattformen, die eine optimierte Personalbeschaffung und -schulung ermöglichen, die Einhaltung von Vorschriften und ESG-Standards im maritimen Bereich automatisieren, den Speditionsbetrieb durch zentralisierte Kommunikation vereinfachen und KMUs durch automatisierte Dokumentations- und Lieferketten Finanzierungsoptionen mit Finanzierungsquellen verbinden. Unser Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Entwicklung wirkungsvoller, skalierbarer Lösungen, die sich mit den tatsächlichen Problemen der Branche befassen und dabei modernste Technologien und umfassende Branchenkenntnisse nutzen.

Als EiR spielst Du eine entscheidende Rolle beim Aufbau und der Skalierung eines bahnbrechenden Projekts. Von der Zusammenstellung des Gründungsteams bis zur Validierung des Geschäftsmodells und der Gewinnung erster Kunden wirst Du den Erfolg des Unternehmens vorantreiben.

Diese Challenge ist in zwei Phasen aufgeteilt:

Phase 1 - Consultant für die Inkubation: Du arbeitest als bezahlter Freelancer und unterstützt und gestaltest inkubierte Ideen während der Validierungsphase - Starttermin so bald wie möglich.

Phase 2 - Führung des Unternehmens: Sobald die Finanzierung gesichert ist, übernimmst Du eine Führungsrolle (z. B. CEO, CTO, CPO) in dem neuen Unternehmen.

Du arbeitest eng mit einem Team von Experten aus den Bereichen Wirtschaft, Design, Technik und Investitionen zusammen und erhältst so Zugang zu der Unterstützung und den Ressourcen, die Du benötigst, um das Unternehmen unabhängig zu leiten und auszubauen. Du wirst direkt bei dem neuen Venture angestellt sein und eine wichtige Führungsrolle als Geschäftsführer übernehmen.

Con un obiettivo ambizioso, si propone di lanciare 10 startup nei prossimi tre anni, sviluppando soluzioni che migliorino l’efficienza e la competitività delle piccole e medie imprese del settore marittimo.

Per realizzare questa missione, siamo alla ricerca di un Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) ambizioso e motivato che ricopra il ruolo di CEO, CTO o CPO (m/f/d), che assuma la guida strategica nella creazione di una nuova venture nel settore marittimo.

L’iniziativa è stata concepita per affrontare le principali sfide dell'industria marittima sviluppando soluzioni scalabili B2B e B2B2C Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) per la logistica portuale, la cantieristica navale, la crocieristica, il trasporto passeggeri e la nautica da diporto. Tra gli esempi figurano piattaforme innovative che agevolano l'approvvigionamento e la formazione della forza lavoro, automatizzano la conformità marittima alle normative e agli standard ESG, semplificano le operazioni di spedizione delle merci grazie a una comunicazione centralizzata e collegano le PMI a fonti di finanziamento, sfruttando documentazione automatizzata e soluzioni avanzate di supply chain finance.

In qualità di EiR, svolgerete un ruolo fondamentale nella costruzione e nello sviluppo della venture. Dalla costituzione del core team alla convalida del modello di business, all'acquisizione dei primi clienti, guiderete il successo della startup.

Questo ruolo prevede due fasi di on-boarding:

Fase 1 - Consulente per l'incubazione: Lavorerete come imprenditori freelance retribuiti, sostenendo e dando forma ai concept durante la fase di validazione - siamo alla ricerca di chi è pronto a partire subito!
Fase 2 - Leadership della venture: Una volta ottenuto il finanziamento, assumerete un ruolo esecutivo (CEO, CTO, CPO) all'interno della nuova impresa.

Lavorerete a stretto contatto con un team eterogeneo di esperti di business, finance, design e ingegneria, godendo di tutte le risorse necessarie per guidare e far crescere l'impresa in modo indipendente. Sarete assunti direttamente dalla nuova impresa, assumendo un ruolo di leadership chiave come dirigente della startup.
